GPS tracking devices are units that use the Global Positioning System to determine the precise location of a vehicle, person, or other asset to which it is attached or installed, this records the position of an asset or moving object at regular intervals. The recorded location can be stored within the tracking device, or it may be transmitted to a central server system by means of, an internet connection or SMS, using the cellular network (GPRS or GSM) or an embedded solution within the modem device. This allows the asset's location to be displayed on a map either in real time or period locational position, using a computer, Iphone and smart phone. Or just place the Lat - Long co-ordinance downloaded from the device to Google maps to find the location of your assets or devices. |
